There is a child out there waiting for someone just like you...

Many of us were fortunate to have mentors who shaped our lives—people who taught us important skills, inspired our career paths, and instilled values that have stayed with us. These mentors, whether family or not, provided a perspective that influenced how we view ourselves, the world, and the struggles we face. They made us feel valued and capable. Every child deserves this kind of support.

At Mentors for Youth, our mission is to match children aged 6-14 with caring mentors who spend time with them, listen to them, and provide the encouragement they need to thrive. We currently have 33 active matches, but there are still 10 children on our waitlist, and many more in our community who need a mentor.

Being a part of Mentors for Youth isn't about having special skills or traits; it's about the desire to help kids. The relationship you build is what truly matters. When you mentor a child, you provide a source of stability and hope, making a lasting impact on their self-image and outlook on life.

There are many ways you can get involved beyond mentoring. We need volunteers to support our monthly outings, board and committee members to help guide our organization, and financial contributions to sustain our programs. Every bit of support helps us to continue making a difference in the lives of these children.
