Here are the few steps you can take to lead or be part of a

Super Strikes team.

1. Gather your team of 1-5 friends.

You don’t have to look for the best bowlers around.  Ask family, friends, co-workers who care about kids in our community to be part of your team.

Then tell us who they are and when you want to bowl by registering online or by returning this form.  Please note that sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Collect $500 or more as a team.

Super Strikes is our signature fundraiser and allows us to continue to our mission of placing kids with a trusted adult friends.  Have fun with it!  Check out our fundraising ideas.

3. Celebrate victory!

Have each team member come to your designated bowling session with a completed envelope (team captains will get the envelopes when they register) and your donations. The bowling session is filled with raffle prizes and unique bowling styles that are sure to make it a memorable night together!  We’ll throw in a t-shirt for everyone, too!

"FUN" raising Ideas!

Jellybean count – Fill a jar with jellybeans (or another small, edible food) and have people pay to guess how many there are in the jar.
Dress-down or jeans day – Charge co-workers to come to the office in their comfy clothes. Make certain that you ask permission of Human Resources, first.
Spelling Bee, Trivial Pursuit, Checkers, Scrabble, Twister – Pick a lunch hour to have co-workers pay to participate and the winner receives a simple prize.
Pledges – Guess what your score during bowling at Super Strikes will be.  Have people pay a penny, quarter, or dollar a point.
Balloon Pop – Before filling a balloon with air, put a note inside. People buy balloons and pop them in the hope that their note entitles them to a prize.
Guess the age of your boss – Organize an event in which co-workers pay to guess the age (or another trivia fact) of your boss. Obtain approval from your boss first!
Talent Auction – Auction off the talents of people. For instance, great singers offer to sing at a wedding, party, or special event.
Ugly tie, worst hair-do, best mismatched outfit – Have your friends over for a movie, but add this twist! Pay to vote and provide a prize to the winner.
Cake Walk – Auction off cakes.
NCAA Bracket – Hold a traditional March Madness bracket pool with an entry fee.  Winner gets half-pot and the rest goes toward Mentors for Youth!
Change It – Start a competition between family members by giving them each a coin jar to collect change for a designated amount of time—person with the most wins!
Social Media Call – Let potential donors know about your fundraising need through Facebook and Twitter. You can direct them to give online through our site at www.mentors4youth.com/donate and just put your name in the “purpose” field.
Matching Gift – Ask a corporation or individual to match any donations your team collects in a specified amount of time. Contact donors about giving to match the gift.
Make new friends – Ask everyone you know for small $1-5 donations.
